Eckhard Hansen

Eckhard Hansen, who has been involved in furniture production since 1976, was born in Germany in 1940. The ergonomic office chair “24 hour chair”, which is his own invention, and the “Automatic Synchron-Mechanics” designs, which are automatically adjusted according to the weight of the users, aroused great interest in the design circles. Hansen, who started to produce his own designs by establishing Swiss Design in 1982, has many national and international patents and copyright records. Among the companies Hansen has worked for are Comforto (Germany), Sita (Switzerland), Allsteel (USA) and Dyna Mobel (Spain).
